Regular School Day Uniform Guidelines

Uniform Pants and Shorts

  • Solid navy blue standard width
  • Solid khaki standard width
  • No jeans, sweatpants, joggers
  • No stretch pants, yoga pants, leggings
  • No pants that are skin tight
  • No skirts
  • Knee length dress shorts or capri pants may only be worn in August, September, May and June

Uniform Shirts

  • Gray or navy short or long sleeve uniform polo shirt with TG logo
  • Gray or navy crew neck uniform sweatshirt with TG logo
  • Gray or navy uniform quarter zip sweatshirt with TG logo
  • The only permitted uniform shirts are those purchased in the on campus Spirit Shop or online Spirit Shop

Additional Uniform Notes

  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times
  • Pants are to be worn at the waist at all times
  • T-shirts worn under uniform shirts must be solid white, navy or gray, short or long sleeveo wallet chains
  • no wallet chains
  • No face jewelry of any kind including nose piercings
  • No visible tattoos
  • Hairstyles which draw undue attention to the student will not be permitted. Both the style and color should be neat, modest, and subtle.

Spirit Days

Totino-Grace team, group, club or Spirit Shop shirts may be worn in place of uniform shirts on Fridays or the last academic day of the school week. Only shirts purchased through approved Totino-Grace programs or from the Spirit Shop may be worn. Home made or hand decorated shirts or garments purchased at state tournaments, events or other competitions cannot be work on Spirit Days. Uniform pants or shorts are required on spirit days.

General Style of Dress and Appearance

Students are expected to be in uniform except on designated out of uniform days. Any hair styles or accessories that draw undue attention to a student are not permitted. Students are not allowed to wear hats of any kind during the school day. Wallet chains, facial jewelry of any kind, including nose piercings, and visible tattoos are not allowed. Styles such as bare midriffs, bare shoulders, miniskirts, short shorts and apparel advertising alcohol or other substances are also not allowed. Students are expected to be clean, neat, and modest at all school sponsored activities, field trips, dances, etc. Neatness, cleanliness and modesty are always to be observed. If a student is not neat, clean, or modest in appearance, he/she will be referred to a school administrator or who will then meet with the student and contact his/her parents. 

Mass Dress Code Reminders

Occasionally, an all school Mass will be designated an out-of-uniform dress up day. All clothing must be neat, clean and modest. Clothing should be appropriate for a worship service.  

  • No one is allowed to wear jeans, sweatpants or shorts.  
  • Girls may wear dress slacks, skirts or dresses.  If a skirts or dress is worn, it can be no more than 2 inches above the kneecap.  Tights or leggings are to be worn underneath a dress or skirt.  Please also keep in mind that a long shirt or sweater does not constitute a dress.
  • Lowcut necklines, open backs, spaghetti straps or bare shoulders are not permitted. If a shirt or dress has straps, shoulders must be covered.
